BizTalk Messaging Manager Error Occurs When You Save a Port with an X12 Envelope (288096)

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Port and specify an X12 envelope that has a hexadecimal 15 for the segment terminator, you receive the following error message when you click Finish to save the Port:
An invalid character was found in text context.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in BizTalk Server 2000.
