OFFXPDEV: Cannot Drag Code Librarian Categories into Files (288091)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot drag a Code Librarian category into another file object, such as a text file, an HTML page, a frameset, a style sheet, an active server page, or an XML file.

CAUSE

Drag functionality of categories in the Code Librarian does not work.

RESOLUTION

To copy the contents of the entire category, you must right-click the category, click Copy, right-click on the desired area, and then click Paste.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Open the Code Librarian.
  2. On the Code Librarian menu, point to Add, and then click Existing Library.
  3. Click CodeLib.clb in the My Documents folder, and then click Open.
  4. Click the plus sign (+) next to Codelib.clb in the Code Librarian pane to expand the categories.
  5. On the File menu, point to New, and then click File.
  6. When the New File dialog box opens, click Text File, and then click Open.
  7. Click a category in the Code Librarian, and then drag it over the text file.
