OL2002: Birthday and Anniversary Links Are Broken in a Contact Item (287882)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Birthday or Anniversary link in a contact item, you may receive the following error message:
This item can no longer be found. It may have been deleted or moved.

CAUSE

This problem may occur after you upgrade Microsoft Outlook Internet Mail Only (IMO) to Outlook 2002.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, re-create the links for the Birthday and Anniversary. To do this:
  1. Open the contact item.
  2. Click the Details tab.
  3. Select the dates for the both the Birthday and Anniversary fields.
  4. Click Save and Close.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

To determine your installation type for Outlook 2000, on the Help menu, click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook, you see the words "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed.
