OL2002: A Re-Sent Plain Text Message Loses Its Formatting (287810)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Resend This Message feature with a plain text formatted message and change the formatting to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) by using the message toolbar menu, the message remains in the plain text format when you send it. All HTML formatting is lost.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Use the following steps to use the Resend This Message feature.
  1. Open a sent message from the Sent Items folder.
  2. On the message toolbar, click Actions, and then click Resend This Message.
  3. Make any edits to the message, and then click Send.
