Readers Receive Error Message When Adding Sub-Folders (287214)

SYMPTOMS

When a user clicks Add Sub-Folder in the dashboard site document library and attempts to create a folder, the user receives the following error message:
An error occurred while processing your request. Please contact your system administrator for this server.

CAUSE

The user is assigned the reader role to the folder. The Add Sub-Folder link is not hidden from readers, so readers may attempt to add a sub-folder and receive the error message described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
