PRB: Dial-Up Boot Loader Build Fails (287149)

SYMPTOMS

Attempts to build the Dial-up Boot Loader file fail, and you receive an error message that reports that the Ppp.res file is missing.

CAUSE

Some Dial-up Boot Loader files are missing from Windows CE Platform Builder version 3.0.

RESOLUTION

Install the Add On Pack, then build the Dial-up Boot Loader.

MORE INFORMATION

You must install the Add On Pack before you build the Dial-up Boot Loader. Also, you must reinstall the Add On Pack anytime you add or delete a CPU from the Platform Builder configuration.

All purchasers of Platform Builder should have received the free Add On Pack update. The update is delivered as compact discs 12-14 of the Platform Builder product. If you have not received the Add On Pack, contact your vendor.
