Images May Not Appear in the Camera Preview Pane of Certain Programs (286724)

When you try to view a FlashPix (.fpx) graphics file in a graphics program, the preview pane in the Get Pictures from dialog box may not show the selected image.
CAUSE
This issue can occur because Windows XP does not support .fpx files.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the JPEG file format, which uses Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) format and which is a supported file format in Windows XP.

FlashPix files do not support the DIB format, which is required for Windows Imaging Acquisition (.wia) files and which is necessary for the camera preview function.
This issue is hardware-specific to a device that is used in conjunction with an application that uses the FPX format.
