Microsoft Money does not automatically update quotes online by default. This article describes how to change the default setting so that Money updates your quotes automatically.

To specify a time interval for quote updates in Money, follow these steps:
  1. On Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Investments tab, click Portfolio Manager.
  3. Click to select the Update price information every ___ minutes check box, and set a time interval in minutes.
  4. Click OK twice.
Money will update prices automatically, based on the number of minutes that you specify. When Money updates the prices, the status bar in the portfolio displays "Updating Prices" along with a Cancel button. After the update, the status bar displays the price change in dollars and as a percentage.
