Long latency period when you use Outlook Web Access after changes in group membership (286031)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q286031 SYMPTOMS
Changes to group membership may not take effect immediately when users log on and use files by using Microsoft Outlook Web Access. For example, when you add new users to a group after you grant a group permissions to an object such as a file in a public folder, new members of the group experience a latency period before they can use the object by using Outlook Web Access. Also, users who are removed from the group may still be able to use the object for a while. This latency period may be up to
one or more hours.
Users who log on by using a MAPI client such as Microsoft Outlook do not experience this problem.RESOLUTION
