PRJ2000: OLE DB Provider Does Not Recalculate Data Correctly (285771)

SYMPTOMS

If you save a project to a database, when the OLE DB provider uses the project, it doesn't appear to recalculate the project correctly. For example, you can see the data that you changed, but dependent tasks aren't recalculated.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you do the following:
  1. Save a project to a database.
  2. Close the project.
  3. Make external edits to the database (and set all of the correct flags, and so forth).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Project 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1).
