SYMPTOMS

When multiple Short Message Service Connectors are installed in the same Active Directory forest, you cannot view or administer the Short Message Service Connectors remotely.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, view and administer the Short Message Service Connector locally.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

The Short Message Service Connector is installed with Mobile Information 2001 Server Carrier Edition to provide Short Message Service center connectivity. The Mobile Information 2001 Server Administrator Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in is used to configure the Short Message Service Connector.
