SYMPTOMS

When you click and drag a file twice from the destination location to the source location in the Publish Web dialog box, FrontPage may stop responding.

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  3. In the About Internet Explorer dialog box, note the version number.
This behavior occurs with version 5.00.2614.3500 and earlier versions.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install Internet Explorer 5.01 or a later version.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The FrontPage Setup program upgrades Internet Explorer to 5.01 to avoid this problem; however, you can prevent this upgrade by adding the command line NOIE=TRUE to the Setup program.
