PUB2002: Transverse Page Size Setting Has No Effect When You Print to an Imagesetter Printer (285374)

When you print a publication to an MS Imagesetter printer by using the Letter.Transverse setting, the pages may not be printed across the roll (transverse mode) as you expect, but along the roll (longitudinal mode).
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the printer driver uses a generic PostScript Printer Definition (PPD) file, and this PPD file does not support the specific features (such as resolution and paper size) of the printer, or other output device, that the job is being printed to.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the Adobe PostScript Printer driver with the PPD file supplied by the manufacturer of the PostScript printer that you are using. To obtain the Adobe PostScript Printer driver, browse to the following Adobe Web site:
