XFOR: Cannot Synchronize Public Folder with Application Connector for Lotus Notes (285325)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 SP3

This article was previously published under Q285325

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Application Connector for Lotus Notes to synchronize the contents of a Microsoft Exchange Server public folder with a Lotus Notes Discussion Database, the synchronization does not succeed, and then you receive the following warning message:

You do not have sufficient rights to this Exchange folder.

You may also see this problem if you reduce the permissions after you set up a connection. That is, you raise permissions temporarily so that you can set up a connection, and then you try to reduce the permissions after the connection is configured.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, give the MAPI profile that the connector uses full Owner rights to the public folder. To set public folder permissions in the Exchange Server Administrator program, open the properties of the public folder, and then click Client Permissions on the General tab.
