(SSL).STATUS This behavior is by design. This article does not apply to
versions of Windows Media Player later than 6.4.MORE INFORMATION Communications over SSL can be resource-intensive on the
CPU for both a client and a server. The rendering of audio or video on a client
computer also uses much of the CPU resources. Therefore, encrypting and
decrypting HTTP packets over SSL causes an additional CPU load on the client
computer and may cause lower-quality audio or video.
