Logging Off of Outlook Mobile Access (282746)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server
This article was previously published under Q282746 SUMMARY
This article describes how to log off of Outlook Mobile Access.
MORE INFORMATION
Outlook Mobile Access does not have a specific log off function. Outlook Mobile Access uses Web Distributed Authoring Version (WebDAV) and keeps track of your session by means of a session identification (ID) number. This ID number expires and is renewed during your session with the server. You are not required to log off of your session.
Outlook Web Access (OWA) in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server also uses this method to keep track of your session. Outlook Mobile Access uses the same HTTP/DAV interface to Exchange 2000 that OWA does.
The only way to clear credentials on a device is by using the phone's user interface (clear credentials or clear passwords) or by removing the phone's battery and then replacing it.
