  • Microsoft Clip Organizer 2002

This article was previously published under Q282556

SYMPTOMS

When you drag or paste a picture from Microsoft Word 2002 into Microsoft Clip Organizer, the picture may be inserted into Clip Organizer in a different file format than the original file format.

WORKAROUND

NOTE: Before you follow this procedure, save the picture that you want to add to Clip Organizer in the graphic format in which you want the picture to be stored. For example, if you want the picture to be in the Joint Photographic Expert Group (JPG) graphic file format in Clip Organizer, then open the picture in a graphics program, such as Microsoft Photo Editor, and save it in that format.

To work around this problem, add the picture to Clip Organizer. To do this, start Clip Organizer and then follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, point to Add Clips to Organizer, and then click On My Own.
  2. In the Add Clips to Organizer dialog box, select the picture you want to add.
  3. Click Add To.
  4. In the Import to Collection dialog box, select the folder (for example, the Favorites folder or the Unclassified Clips folder) you want to import the picture into and then click OK.
  5. In the Add Clips to Organizer dialog box, click Add.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
