"Please Insert a Disk into Drive A:" Message Continually Appears When Starting the Computer (282470)

When you start your computer and the desktop appears, you may continue to receive the following message until you insert a disk into the floppy drive, or until you click Cancel:
Please insert a disk into drive a:
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you have selected the Restore previous folder windows at logon check box in Folder Options, and you shut down, or restart the computer when the floppy drive is being viewed, but the drive is empty when the desktop appears.
RESOLUTION
To avoid this behavior, exit the floppy drive in Windows Explorer before you restart the computer, or you can disable the Restore previous folder windows at logon feature. To disable this feature, follow these steps:
- Open Windows Explorer.
- In the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the View tab, click to clear the Restore previous folder windows at logon check box.
