The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Access 2002

This article was previously published under Q282378
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).

SYMPTOMS

In the PivotTable View of a table, you can create and format captions for the different data drop areas to assist users in displaying data as they would like to see it in a PivotTable. The areas to which you can assign captions are:

Filter drop area
Column drop area
Row drop area
Detail drop area

You can also set a caption for the report title bar. However, this caption does not appear in the PivotTable View of the table, nor in any printed version of the table.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
