PRB: Documents May Be Located on a Different Computer Than the One That Received It (282266)

If you create a file transport that specifies a local folder (such as C:\FileDest) for a messaging port and you have more than one processing server in your BizTalk Server Group, documents that are sent to this messaging port are sent to the C:\FileDest folder of whichever BizTalk Server actually processes the document. This server may or may not be the BizTalk Server computer that initially received the document.
If the BizTalk Server computer that processes the document does not have a local folder that corresponds to the folder that is specified in the File receive function, the document is placed in the Suspended queue.
RESOLUTION
To make sure that a file transport always delivers files to the same location, configure the File transport service to used shared file locations when there is more than one processing server in a BizTalk Server Group.

To configure the BizTalk Server computers in a group to act as processing servers, in the properties of the server, click to select (or clear) Participate in work-item processing. When BizTalk Server receives a document, it places the documents into the BizTalk Server shared Work queue. Documents are pulled off of the shared Work queue by any BizTalk Server computers in the group that are marked as processing servers.
To configure whether or not a particular BizTalk Server computer in a group handles the receiving for a receive function, go to the properties of the receive function, and then on the Services tab, select the computer in the Server on which the receive function will run list box.
