PIP 2001: How to Troubleshoot Graphic Filter Issues (281794)

This article was previously published under Q281794 SYMPTOMS In the programs listed at the beginning of this article,
certain types of images may appear blurred and out of focus, or they may be
replaced by a blank box. For example, image formats such as Joint Photographic
Experts Group (JPEG), Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), or bitmaps may be
affected. CAUSE This behavior can occur if one or more of the graphic
filters that the program installs has become corrupted or is not fully
installed. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, rename and reinstall the graphic
filters. To do this, follow the methods in the order in which they are
presented. Rename Grphflt Files- In Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98, click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
In
Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) or Microsoft Windows 2000, click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders. - In the Named or Search for files or folders named box, type Cdrimp32.flt.
- In the Look in list, click My Computer.
- Click Find Now or Search Now.
- Right-click the Cdrimp32.flt file, and then click Rename.
- Type the following, and then press ENTER:
- Repeat steps 2-6 for each of the following files:

Reinstall the Program- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Double-click the name of the product that you want to
reinstall.
- Click Next, if necessary.
- Click Reinstall, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
- Restart the computer when you are done.
