WORKAROUNDIf the Works Portfolio will not start when you start
Windows, use the following methods to work around this problem. Method 1: Start the Works Portfolio Manually To start the Works Portfolio manually, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click All
Programs.
- Point to Microsoft Works.
- Click Microsoft Works Portfolio. The
Portfolio will start.
Method 2: Add the Microsoft Works Portfolio to the Startup GroupTo start the Works Portfolio automatically when you start Windows,
follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click All
Programs.
- Point to Microsoft Works.
- Right-click Microsoft Works Portfolio, and
then click Copy.
- Right-click Start, and then click
Open.
- Double-click Programs.
- Double-click Startup.
- On the Edit menu, click
Paste. This will add a shortcut to the
Startup menu.
- Restart Windows to allow the Works Portfolio to start.
