WD2002: Cannot Use Voice Commands to Change Items on the "AutoFormat As You Type" Tab (280624)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use voice commands to select or to clear dialog box items on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of the AutoCorrect dialog box, nothing happens.

You can use voice commands to select or clear dialog box items on the other tabs of the AutoCorrect dialog box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. With the AutoCorrect dialog box open, say "autoformat as you type."

    Notice that the AutoFormat As You Type page is displayed.
  2. Repeatedly say "down" or "up" until the item that you want is selected.
  3. Say "spacebar" to select or to clear the selection of the item.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
