Unable to Suspend the Computer When Windows Movie Maker Is Running (280324)

SYMPTOMS

When you run Windows Movie Maker, and you try to place Windows Millennium Edition (Me) in Standby mode, the screen flashes, and returns to the desktop.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, close Windows Movie Maker before you try to place the computer in Standby mode.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

Your computer could not Suspend or Hibernate, because a device vetoed the Suspend or Hibernate request
