DBCS Network Connection Name Is Deleted When a New One Is Added (279869)

When you create a network connection whose name is highly similar to an existing one, the first network connection may be deleted. This problem can occur on Double Byte Character Set (DBCS) localizations of the products that listed at the beginning of this article. Note that this includes the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language versions of these products.
For example, when you create a connection that is named "TEST1", an existing connection that is named "TEST0" may be deleted.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the Rasapi32.dll file on DBCS platforms cannot distinguish two network connection names that include similar DBCS names.
