CAUSE

This behavior can occur because there are three default security lists in MMS: Security Officers, Directory Officers, and Directory Administrators. A membership in a list is represented by an alias to a directory entry. For example, the Directory Administrators list has an alias to the Administrator of the MMS server.

When the MMS Compact utility runs, it is unable to locate the directory entry that the alias is referencing and it corrects the three links on each of the lists. The lists do work correctly if the MMS Compact utility is not run.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you do not need to take further action. The first time you run the MMS Compact utility on MMS version 2.2, the preceding behavior is automatically resolved.
