SUMMARY

You can print mailing labels from a table or a query by creating a report using the Label Wizard.

MORE INFORMATION

To use the Label Wizard to create a report, follow these steps:
  1. In the Database window, click Reports under Objects, and then click New.
  2. In the New Report dialog box, click Label Wizard.
  3. In the Choose the table or query where the object's data comes from list, select the table or the query that you want to create labels from, and then click OK.
  4. On the first page of the Label Wizard, select the values that you want for Product number, Unit of Measure, Label Type, and Filter by manufacturer, and then click Next.

    NOTE: If you cannot find your exact labels, or if the margins are not correct for your labels, you can click Customize, and then design your own labels.
  5. On the next page of the Label Wizard, select the values that you want under Text appearance, and then click Next.
  6. On the next page of the Label Wizard, set up your label layout. You can use your keyboard to create new lines, spaces, commas, and so on. A common layout for addresses is as follows. You can have up to four lines in the layout. When you are finished, click Next.

    {Name}
    {Address}
    {City}, {State} {Zip}

  7. On the next page of the Label Wizard, select a field to sort by, and then click Next.
  8. On the last page of the Label Wizard, type a name for your report, and then click Finish.
You can now click Print on the File menu to print the report to your labels. If the resulting label report does not look the way you want it to, you can delete the report, and then run the Label Wizard again.
