SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 and Commerce Server 2002, when you restore a deleted ad from the campaign manager, the restored ad has a weight of 1, which can result in an unexpected distribution of ads.

CAUSE

When you delete an ad from a campaign, the weight is automatically reset to 1.

RESOLUTION

After the ad has been restored, reset the weight manually.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
