ACC2000: BigInt Data Type Incorrectly Mapped to Binary When Linked to SQL Server 2000 Table (279515)

In Access 2000, when you query a linked SQL Server 2000 table that contains a field defined with a data type of BigInt, returned data is incorrectly mapped to Binary instead of to TEXT, which can appear in the form of indecipherable symbols within the linked Microsoft Access table.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the latest Jet 4.0 service pack.
