Clip2002: Cannot Drag Clips to Office Collections Folder (279484)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to drag a clip to or from the Office Collections in Microsoft Clip Organizer, a prohibition sign (a circle with a slash) may be displayed. This icon indicates that you cannot drop the clip.

This behavior occurs when Clip Organizer is run as a program and is displayed in the task pane.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Office Collections are read-only collections, and you cannot drop clips into read-only collections. When you drag a clip from a read-only collection, the prohibition sign icon disappears when the mouse pointer is over a writable collection or document.
