OL2002: 'Company: (none)' Entry Appears Twice When You View Contacts in the 'By Company' View (278170)

When you group contacts by using the By Company view, two entries for "Company: (none)" (without quotation marks) are listed in the view.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, reset the contacts so they can all be part of one category. To do this:
- Open a contact in the first "None" (without quotation marks) contact group.
- Change the company to "TEMP" (without quotation marks), and then save the contact.
- Drag all the contacts in the first "None" group to the new "TEMP" group.
- Drag all the "TEMP" contacts back to the remaining "None" group.
The contacts will now group together as expected.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
