OL2002: The Hyphen Key on the Numeric Keypad Is Not Functional In the Task Table View (278049)

SYMPTOMS

In the Tasks folder, when you edit the Due Date field, the HYPHEN key that is on the numeric keypad does not respond when try to insert a hyphen (-).

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the HYPHEN key that is on the numeric keypad is nonfunctional in the TaskPad Due Date field.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the HYPHEN key that is on the keyboard, or use the FORWARD SLASH key on the numeric keypad to separate the month, day, and year in the Due Date field.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
