PRB: Error Message When You Use BizTalk Editor to Import Schemas That Contain Element Groups (276854)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the BizTalk Editor to import schemas that contain element groups, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Warning: Element groups are not supported. The occurrence properties for the affected nodes have been altered.

-or-

Warning: A group in ElementType element name has been removed. Element tags in the Group have been moved to the containing ElementType, and the Order Attribute has not been imported.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because BizTalk does not currently support element groups.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, remove any element groups before you import the schema.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
