XCCC: Exchange Conference Service Does Not Upgrade from Evaluation Version to Full Version (276605)

SYMPTOMS

When you update your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server installation from the Release Candidate 2 (RC2) evaluation version to the release to manufacturing (RTM) version, your Exchange Conference Service may not be upgraded from the evaluation version to the full version.

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Service Pack 1.

Installing the Fix

Upgrade your Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server installation from the RC2 version to the RTM version.
Click Start, and then click Run.
Click Browse, locate and click hotfix setup.dll, and then click OK.
In the Run box, click OK.
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add/Remove Programs.
Click Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server, and then click Reinstall.
Type the CD-ROM Key number in the CD-Key Wizard dialog box.
Click Next and finish the installation.
