Campaign Loses Quantity When You Change Campaign Goal Type from Inactive to Active (275733)

SYMPTOMS

When you first goal an advertising campaign according to Advertising items and then goal it according to Campaign, you may lose ad quantities after the conversion. After you change the campaign goal type from Inactive to Active, you must reapply the campaign quantities.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Create a New Customer, Campaign, and Advertisement

  1. In the Commerce Server Business Desk, click Campaigns, and then click Campaign Manager.
  2. Create a new customer with the following property:

    Name: Customer1

  3. Click the Save and Back button.
  4. Click Customer1, and then click New Campaign.
  5. Create a new campaign with the following properties:

    Campaign Name: Campaign1
    Status: Active
    Set goals by: Advertising Items
    Schedule by: Requests

  6. Click the Save and Back button.
  7. Click to expand Customer1, click Campaign1, and then click New Advertisement.
  8. Create a new advertisement with the following properties:

    Ad Properties

    Ad Name: Ad1
    Status: Inactive
    Requests: 15000

    Ad Display

    Type: Text
    Text: This is a text ad.
    Click URL: http://click.com

  9. Click the Save and Back button.

Change Campaign Goal Type

  1. Click to expand Customer1, click Campaign1, and then click Open.
  2. Change the campaign goal type from Advertising Items to Campaign.
  3. Click the Save and Back button.
  4. Click to expand Customer1 and Campaign1, and note the following values:

    Campaign1 has a Schedule of 0.
    Ad1 has a Schedule of 15000.

  5. Click Ad1, and then click Open.
  6. Change the status of Ad1 from Inactive to Active.
  7. Click the Save and Back button.
  8. Click to expand Customer1 and Campaign1, and note the following values:

    Campaign1 has a Schedule of 0.
    Ad1 has a Schedule of 0.

    The quantity of ads that were inactive at the time of conversion is not added to the total. Their quantity is lost.
