Exchange Recipient Update Service logs errors with Event IDs 8022 and 8270 (275511)

If an SMTP custom recipient from Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 has a different reply-to address than its target address, the Exchange 2000 Recipient Update Service does not stamp the Exchange 2000 Server properties on that custom recipient after the Active Directory Connector (ADC) copies it to the Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory. The Recipient Update Service also logs MSExchangeAL 8270 and 8022 events:

CAUSEThere is a recipient policy that is causing the Recipient Update Service to try to generate duplicate e-mail addresses for a user or a distribution group. The duplicate addresses could be a reply-to address and target address.RESOLUTION
