Error Message Opening My Documents Folder from the Start Menu (275207)

SYMPTOMS
When you click the My Documents folder on the Start menu, you may receive the following error message:
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in My Computer by clicking View and then clicking Folder Options.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following key exists in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\open
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To resolve this issue, use Registry Editor to remove the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\open
After you remove this key, quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
