SUMMARY

The System Configuration utility (the Msconfig.exe file) in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) includes a new feature to enable or disable static VxDs. Static VxDs are virtual device drivers that can be loaded only during startup. They cannot be unloaded.

MORE INFORMATION

The files listed below are the static VxDs present on a clean install of Windows Me. Additional VxDs that appear within the Msconfig.exe utility are likely to be either additional network components, for example, Vserver.vxd, or third-party services, such as virus scanners and utilities.
