BUG: DTS Truncates ActiveX Scripts (273789)

SYMPTOMS

When a large Data Transformation Services (DTS) package with an ActiveX script is saved to a local repository, the DTS package is truncated to approximately 32,400 characters. This problem does not occur if the package is saved to SQL Server or to a file.

WORKAROUND

Save the DTS Package to a file or to SQL Server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0.
