PPT2001: Error Message When You Quit PowerPoint (273707)

When you cancel out of the AutoContent Wizard dialog box, and then quit Microsoft PowerPoint, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
The application "Microsoft PowerPoint" has unexpectedly quit, because an error of type 3 occurred.
You should save your work in other open applications and restart the computer.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur in the following scenario:
- You have no presentations open in PowerPoint.
You have the AutoContent Wizard dialog box open, and then click the Add button.
You cancel out of both the AutoContent Wizard and Add dialog boxes, and then quit PowerPoint. - You have the AutoContent Wizard dialog box open, and then click the Add button.
You cancel out of both the AutoContent Wizard and Add dialog boxes, and then quit PowerPoint. - You cancel out of both the AutoContent Wizard and Add dialog boxes, and then quit PowerPoint.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, after you cancel out of both the AutoContent Wizard and the Add dialog boxes, and before you quit PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click New Presentation.
- On the File menu, click Quit.
