MacPPT: Extensis MenuFonts Suitcase Feature Does Not Work with PowerPoint (273689)

SYMPTOMS

When you have the Extensis MenuFonts version 8.x program installed on your computer, and you then click the Font menu on the Formatting Palette or Formatting toolbar in Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition or PowerPoint 2001 for Mac, the fonts are listed in one long list rather than grouped into font family submenus as expected.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by incompatibility between PowerPoint and MenuFonts version 8.x.

RESOLUTION

This issue has been fixed in version 9 of MenuFonts.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
