SYMPTOMS

When you click the Advanced tab in the Internet Properties dialog box, the tab may be blank. The Settings heading may be displayed, but the rest of the tab may be blank.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the following registry key is missing or damaged:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions

RESOLUTION

To correct this issue, Microsoft recommends that you reinstall Internet Explorer or Windows.
