SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to book an online conference in the Calendar view of Outlook, you may receive the following error message:

The Conferencing Resource is not configured correctly

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Conference Management Service (CMS) has been promoted to a global catalog server and the service has not been restarted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, restart your computer.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

You need to restart your computer to initialize the server's Named Service Provider Interface (NSPI). This interface provides clients and services with directory searching capabilities.
