SYMPTOMS

Your wallpaper bitmap may revert to the previous bitmap after daylight saving time ends if the bitmap is stored on a FAT32 partition.

CAUSE

Windows keeps track of the last bitmap you used for your desktop wallpaper. If an inconsistency is found in the current bitmap's date, Windows reverts to the previous saved bitmap. On FAT32 partitions, the time is not being calculated correctly; when daylight saving time changes occur, the calculated time changes on all files on FAT32 partitions.
