SYMPTOMS

If your computer enters Sleep mode while the Microsoft Strategic Commander software is running, you may receive the following error message when you attempt to wake your computer:
Device disconnected.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, quit the SideWinder Strategic Commander software, and then restart the software.

To prevent this issue from occurring, quit the SideWinder Strategic Commander software before you put your computer into Sleep mode.

When your computer enters Sleep mode, Microsoft Windows unloads all memory-resident drivers. When you wake your computer from Sleep mode, Windows detects your Plug and Play devices and reloads the drivers for these devices.
