ENT2001: Message Threads Are Not Removed When You Delete All Messages (268694)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to delete all messages in a folder that is displayed in Threaded view, messages in threaded groups are not deleted.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Entourage uses a separate command to deleted message threads. This prevents message threads from inadvertently being deleted. To deleted message threads:
  1. In the Folder List pane, click the initial message in the thread. The thread is then expanded to show all messages in the thread.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Delete Thread.
