ENT2001: Hotmail Stationery Does Not Display in Entourage Messages (268692)

SYMPTOMS

When you receive a Hotmail message that has the stationery option, the stationery does not display when you open the message.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the stationary that the Hotmail message uses is not in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format. Hotmail uses a special pointer that is embedded in a plain text message to point to a central location for the graphics that are used for the background. Entourage cannot interpret these pointers.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, view the messages by using a Hotmail account.
