ENT2001: Unexpected Result When You Drag More Than One Picture from a Message (268690)

SYMPTOMS

If you select multiple picture file attachments in an e-mail message and then drag the picture files to your desktop, you receive one text clipping file instead of the picture clipping file that contains the multiple picture elements.

WORKAROUND

Use one of the following two methods to save picture files from your e-mail messages.

Method 1

Drag the attached files to your desktop, one at a time. This method creates a single picture clipping file for each attachment.

Method 2

Use the Save function in the Entourage message to save the pictures as files. Press the SHIFT key while you click your mouse button in Entourage to select and save all of the attachments.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
