Infrared Port Tool in Control Panel Is Not Updated After Upgrade to Windows Millennium Edition (268605)

SYMPTOMS

After the upgrade to Windows Millennium Edition, when you open Control Panel to view the properties of the Infrared Port tool, you notice that it still appears as Infrared Port, and not as Wireless Link.

CAUSE

The Control Panel tool for this device is not being updated.

This behavior does not occur on a clean installation.
