SYMPTOMS

The option to check the spelling in Entourage is missing or unavailable.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Microsoft Office 2001 Proofing Tools folder is missing or has been moved from its original location.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, move the Proofing Tools folder to the Shared Applications folder.

MORE INFORMATION

If you did a custom installation of Office 2001, the Spelling Checker feature may not be installed.
